Please join us for the AWM HOPE™ Conference April 26th- April 28th, 2022. This 3 day/2 night conference will be at a beautiful lakeside Christian campground with hotel-style accommodations that will allow you to refresh and recharge spiritually.
Why should you attend:
First, I would tell you from my personal experience of attending my first AWM Hope™ conference, it was incredibly comforting to walk into a room and feel “normal” again. Everyone in the room understood what I was going through because they were going through it too. Within just a few minutes I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I didn’t realize how much stress I was under, constantly trying to be with people who didn’t “get it”. It was so freeing to be able to let my guard down. I also desperately needed to talk to other Christian widows about how to walk this journey in a way that honored God. Attending that first conference was as life-changing for me as it was for the others and that’s why we (the AWM Team) are committed to creating the same opportunity for you!
In addition, to the blessing of being with other Christian widows you will experience the following:
- Receive uplifting teaching and practical tips for everyday life as you move forward in your faith journey.
- Be renewed by connecting with God through deep, meaningful worship.
- Be transformed by what you learn about God’s faithfulness.
- Leave the conference feeling equipped to impact God’s kingdom by living a life of HOPE!

Testimonials:
Just in case you’re not sure, or fearful of how you can step out and attend a conference for “widows”, we want to encourage you with these wonderful previous conference attendee testimonials.
Michelle R- Ohio:
I left Ohio with a grief-laden, raw heart on a cold February morning – 9 months after suddenly losing my husband. I was leaving my 4 children behind to fly halfway across the country to attend a conference of strangers. Brave? Not really Desperate? Yes, very. But more than anything I was surrendering, surrendering to this new journey that was suddenly cast upon me. Widowhood. How I hated that word. I still do, but what I found was that I was not alone.
The leaders of A Widow’s Might embraced each one of us as if we were old friends. They truly want to help bring healing and hope to your brokenness – not just for one weekend, but for as long as you need them. No matter how you lost your beloved, THEY understand. More importantly, they know Who to point you to even in your hurt and anger. Jesus. I don’t regret for one second the sacrifice I made to attend, I left with a renewed purpose and a whole new circle of “social network” friends that are only a few keystrokes and thought away. I plan to attend again.
Terri S- Arkansas:
Attending the AWM conference in Myrtle Beach was one of the best things I did for myself as a widow. It blessed me so much that I couldn’t wait to sign up for the conference in Dallas and I also took a widow friend with me! There is a precious bond between all the women attending these conferences that you will not find anywhere else…a “knowing” each other’s hearts in a way that others cannot share. Go! You will not regret it!
Lisa M.- Georgia:
After my husband got upgraded to heaven, I was in desperate need of healing and understanding. I tried Grief Share and various counselors, both are great sources of help. However, they weren’t a fit for me. I took a leap of faith and went to the Ruth Retreat for A Widow’s Might. I came in broken and desperate but left with hope. Hope came in the form of bonding with 22 widows who “got it”. The relationships I made with these sisters are priceless. We continue to support and encourage each other through social media years later. I can honestly say that weekend was one of the best investments of time and money in my life.
Jennifer S.- Texas:
I attended the AWM conference just six weeks after my husband passed. It took everything I had to get there, but I thank God I did. This ministry and these women started my journey to healing. Though everyone has a different story and may be in a different season of loss, being surrounded by other women who understand the pain of losing their husband, somehow, brought comfort and strength. I believe the Lord places people in our paths as His hands and heart here on earth. The ladies at A Widow’s Might were His hands and heart for me during that time. I am forever grateful.
Amber F.- Tennesse:
So I signed up for the widow’s conference that was held in Dallas mainly because I had been led by the Lord to get connected with women in a similar situation and my employer was flying me to Austin for a work conference. Total God’s work! On day 1 of the conference, as we were in worship, I clearly heard the Lord speaking to me, saying it’s time to move. I had no idea what, where, or how He wanted me to move, but because I was hearing it so loud and clear, I began to pray and ask God for clarification.
Through the time, the sessions, and just connecting with women in my current situation I learned so much about myself and my purpose. I was hesitant at first to register for the conference because I was afraid I would maybe slip backward in my grief, however, once I got there and got to meet with the other ladies, we all began to feel an instant connection. Some I was able to give insight to and others gave me encouragement.
I will say this conference was life-changing for myself and my children. In the end, I made a move, the children and I moved from CA back home to TN in August, it hasn’t been easy, I have questioned myself many times, however, I know that this is exactly what God had planned. We are closer to family, we are in a smaller town, and financially it is much easier. I have kept in touch, greatly thanks to Facebook, with a few of the ladies from the conference and I hope to reconnect with them soon.
