IT’S NOT ABOUT US AND YET IT IS ALL ABOUT US.

In 2008, a few members of a highly successful online Christian ministry stepped forward in faith and formed A Widow’s Might / aNew Season Ministries to start writing devotionals to encourage widows to focus on Christ as they walked through their grief. Through their obedience God’s truth has been the source of a cascade of blessings, shared with thousands of others. We are deeply grateful for God’s leading and provision and for their faithfulness.

Today, God continues to expand the reach of this ministry, not only through our online presence and hardcopy devotionals, but also through conferences and speaking engagements. He continues to expand our team from a few writers to a much larger team including our advisory board, our conference support team, our praise team, our guest bloggers and our financial supporters.

But the story of AWM has really just begun. God has impressed on our hearts that our mission is bigger than comforting widows who are grieving - although that will always be a critical piece of our ministry. Our mission is about sharing our hope - with other widows, with their family and friends, and with the local church. We are uniquely equipped to share stories of God’s faithfulness during the most difficult of times. Stories that will drown out the busyness of this world and make you really think about your impact in God’s kingdom and the eternal significance of what you are doing. Stories that will inevitably deepen your understanding of who God is and how much He loves us. The stories are not about us and our pain, they are about God and His faithfulness. They are about His love for us - which when you think about it- really is all about us.
